Itinerary:
Pickup from your hotel around 09.30am from hotels in Nevşehir and across Cappadocia, including Göreme, Ürgüp, Avanos, Uçhisar and Ortahisar.
First stop is Göreme Panorama viewpoint where you will be astounded by one of the best views in the Cappadocia. The guide will explain just how this amazing landscape came into existence in Cappadocia.
Derinkuyu Underground City is the biggest and deepest underground settlement in Cappadocia, dating back to 7th-8th centuries. Walk down 8 levels which are each interconnected by narrow tunnels and stone-carved stairways. See the winery, church, kitchens, food storage areas and animal stalls while your guide gives you an insight into their daily life.
Selime Cathedral is the biggest rock-carved monastery in the region and was once home to Hittite, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman civilizations.
Enjoy a Turkish kebab-style lunch at a riverside restaurant in Ihlara Valley.
After lunch, take an easy 4km walk (approx. 1 hour) along the river through the deep Ihlara Valley canyon, scattered with cave churches carved by early Christian monks.
A final stop at a stunning viewpoint in Uçhisar overlooking the infamous Pigeon Valley and see the pigeon houses carved from the stone by ancient inhabitants.
Return to your hotel approx 17.30-18.00pm.

Scheduled Timing: 09.30 am to 17:00 pm
Children aged 0-3 can participate free of charge if no separate seat is needed.
Young ones aged 3-8 receive a 50% discount, and a dedicated seat will be provided for them.
Cancellation Policy
For cancellations made over 48 hours before the tour begins, no charges will apply.
Cancellations made between 24-48 hours prior to the tour start will incur a 50% charge of the total fee.
No shows and cancellations within 24 hours of the commencement time will face a 100% charge of the total fee.
Tour Program
- Hotel pickup is scheduled around 09.30am from Cappadocia hotels
- Your first destination will be Uçhisar Castle, which stands as the tallest rock formation in the region. The guide will unveil the story behind this extraordinary landscape.
- At Zelve Open Air Museum the knowledgeable guide will detail the significance of Christianity along with monastic life in Cappadocia, after which you are free to wander through the remarkable 10th and 11th century cave churches and monasteries showcasing exquisitely painted frescoes that illustrate renowned biblical narratives
- See the old Greek houses in Çavuşin village, abandoned during the Greek/Turkish population exchange in 1924.
- Savor a delightful meal in Avanos, featuring an array of traditional Cappadocia cuisines including appetizers, fresh salads, meat options, vegetarian selections, and decadent desserts.
- While still in Avanos, explore an authentic family-owned pottery studio nestled within an underground cave. The clay sourced from the Kızılırmak (Red) River has been utilized for pottery since the time of the Hittites, long before 1700BC, and remains a cherished craft to this day. Witness a skilled artisan create a pot before your eyes, and observe the meticulous work of painters and glazers as they add intricate designs. If you are feeling creative, take a turn at the potter’s wheel and craft your own distinctive piece.
- In Paşabağı (also known as Monks Valley because of the Chapel of Saint Simeon found there) wander through the unusual clusters of multi-headed mushroom-shaped “fairy chimneys” (rock formations).
- Devrent Valley (“Imagination Valley”) – a stunning valley where you can spot natural rock formations in many recognisable shapes in cappadocia, including the famous camel-shaped rock. Use your imagination and see what other shapes you can find.
- Return to your hotel approx 16.00pm.
